After practicing medicine for 30 years and lately having read thousands of articles on diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, Alzheimer and cancer, I think, we are being short sighted and are not doing enough to PREVENT such diseases. Additionally we are trying to MANAGE diseased patients and not try and get them cured.

I agree. In regard to prevention, a recent study in JAMA linked low health literacy to higher mortality in heart patients. Nucleus's mission is to raise health literacy with its content, and we've plenty of anecdotal evidence (unsolicited user comments) to support the efficacy. Regarding point 2: a cynical person might say "There's no money in a cure." However, I hope advances in molecular and genetic medicine will produce more cures.
